A Practice Built on Deep Roots
My path in Chinese medicine began in 1998, drawn to the depth and wisdom of a medical system that sees each person as a whole body, mind, and spirit interconnected. What started as a personal exploration of qigong quickly became a lifelong calling.
Over the past two decades, I've had the privilege of studying with master practitioners, earning my Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and building a clinical practice that reflects the values I hold most dear: thorough assessment, individualized treatment, and genuine care for each patient who walks through my door.
I practice both TCM-style and Five Element acupuncture, which gives me a broader lens for understanding what's happening in your body. I also integrate Chinese herbal medicine, medical qigong, moxibustion, cupping, and gua sha, choosing the right combination of tools for each person's unique situation.
Beyond my clinical work, I serve as a research professor at Five Branches University's doctoral program, where I designed and teach research courses. This academic grounding means I stay current with the evidence base while remaining deeply rooted in the classical traditions.
I believe that healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. It requires patience, partnership, and a practitioner who listens. That's what I aim to offer every patient at White Phoenix Wellness.

My Approach to Healing
I believe that true healing happens when we address the root of a condition, not just its symptoms. In Chinese medicine, we understand that pain, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, and emotional distress are often expressions of deeper patterns in the body.
My role is to identify those patterns through careful diagnosis, including pulse reading, tongue assessment, and a thorough health history, and then create a treatment plan that works with your body's own intelligence to restore balance.
I combine both TCM and Five Element acupuncture approaches because they offer complementary perspectives. TCM excels at identifying physiological patterns, while Five Element acupuncture addresses the emotional and constitutional level. Together, they provide a more complete picture.
"The body has an innate capacity to heal. My job is to remove the obstacles and support that process."
Whether you're coming in for chronic pain, fertility support, anxiety, or simply to maintain your health, I approach each visit as a partnership. I'll explain what I'm seeing, what I recommend, and why — so you always feel informed and involved in your own care.
